hi Tom,

i've had a similar problem during FW uploads in the past, although not
while uploading the v3.1005 build. in my case there was something
weird going on between my PC and midi-patchbay (Roland A-880). it was
resolved by rebooting both my PC and the midi-patchbay. dunno if this
helps...
