sync re-reading tbase?

2005-09-14 by amwgroups2003

Hi Colin and everyone. Been ages since i've posted here, much less
played with my P3, but i finally finished uni so i've been getting
into it again. Hopefully i'll actually start getting productive
soon (probably too much to ask ;-)

I noticed one tiny thing that might make it a bit easier to work
with - when you change the "tbase" of a pattern and then hit "sync",
rather than adjusting to the new tbase and continuing, it appears to
sync on the old tbase for as long as you keep hitting the button.
It feels a little counter-intuitive to me because my mind kinda sees
the "sync" button as a shortcut to restart the pattern with the new
settings. Is that the way it was planned?

On a similar note, it would be very cool if the "shift" could rotate
everything EXCEPT the note delay values as set by "Shf". This would
maintain the shuffle effect relative to the other instruments and
patterns playing. I know you can use note delays for other cool
stuff besides shuffle, but perhaps we could have a global option to
choose (assuming it's viable in the first place).

Other than that i'm just being bowled over by all the cool stuff
you've packed in. I don't know when you added the polyphony aux
events (aux note rel, rep*n, etc) but they kick all ass. I can now
spend hours on one soloed track just playing B3 samples. Top stuff,
it truly is inspiring :-)
