Folks, The P3 build notes have been updated for the latest board revision, v1.6. http://www.sequentix.com/sq_diy.htm There are a couple of subtle changes, mainly to make assembly quicker if you happen to be building more than one. The DIN sync to MIDI clock convertor chip is now included as standard with the P3 kit. After some testing with various DIN sync and MIDI devices, I have decided it is safe to wire P3's SYNC output for both MIDI clock and DIN sync at the same time. Future ready-built units will be supplied this way. The only device I found a problem with is the TR808, which doesn't like the 5 volt signal on pin 4 required by MIDI, which causes a continuous pattern reset. This can be fixed by using a sync cable with pin 4 disconnected, or by having the SYNC output wired for DIN sync only. The most recent batch of cases came with some mis-aligned text on the front panel silk-screen. They've been collected and taken away for a repaint and rescreen, so for those of you waiting on full kits, cases or ready-built units, they'll be another week or two - sorry. Best regards, Colin Fraser Sequentix Music Systems Ltd http://www.sequentix.com
