This is how my composing program maxWerk werks. Key and scale are stored per 
half-bar, along with several pieces of data that affect trasposition, so that 
you can use the combination of approaches that works best for the song. It 
would be so great to have P3 transpose in sync with it. Yee--haaaa! Total world 
domination !!
