One thing you can do in advance that can be interesting is initialise
your banks but set up some auxes ahead of performance. These might do
cool stuff like assign the knobs to control pattern length or
timebase, increase the probability of random muting of ties, gates,
swap notes with other tracks, that sort of thing. Then when you bang
in a loop you like, you can turn a few knobs and see what happens.. :)

We get together at my place most weeks - will send you some
newer/funkier jams at some point or, better still, upload them to the
JIC website. But yeah, we're definitely ready for another party gig!
