The PIC used for m2d2m doesn't have enough power to do clock doubling, so that's out. P3 does indeed run at 48ppqn internally. The 24 ppqn sync output is generated by turning the din clock pin on then off at alternate clock pulses. To have it turn on at each clock pulse, then off after a short delay, I'd need to use a timer to signal the end of the pulse. This could be done using the timer that updates the LEDs and scans the keyboards. I'll look into adding it as a user config option.
