Colin,

  I assume your sequencer will work with a 20by2 LCD just aswell as a 16by2?
I've found a display I want to use (red on black) but its only available in
20by2..
  I assume their will be four blank characters at the right, is this the
case? as I know some LCDs require you to sepcify which line you right to
and some over run from line 1 to line 2...
