If the fuse you've got can fit in the board OK, it will be fine - unless it
blows, in which case you'll need to solder in a new one.
But if you have all the chips in the right way, and your soldering isn't
appallingly bad, the chances of blowing the fuse are tiny.
Personally I've never once blown the fuse on a P3.
I only seem to short out power supplies that put out serious voltage when
I've rigged them up without a fuse ;-)
