bear in mind that the manual is for version 3.77 and we're now at 
3.81b3..there've been some major changes since then :)

i'm not quite sure on what you mean with 'switch parts', but so far i 
haven't been able to find anything i couldn't change on the fly, with 
the sequencer running smoothly all the way. the only exception to 
this are the SysEx firmware & data dumps.

the answer is indeed yes, and it's as simple as hitting a button..

and i must say that since owning a P3 my own personal quest for 'that 
perfect sequencer' is pretty much over, apart from harrassing Colin 
with my requests for additional functions...which i think is largely 
his own fault as the flexibility of the machine and the functions 
he's already implemented give me ideas for other stuff i would 
otherwise never have thought of. ;)
