Shuffle isn't stored in a pattern as a single value - using the shuffle
function sets the delay value on every odd step to zero, and on every even
step to the selected value.
So to show a 'current' value before a new one was set would involve checking
whether the delay values on every step in the pattern match one of the
preset shuffle values.
That might not be the best use of remaining code space...
