You can't as yet. I'm going to add in a 'last bar' value for each pattern, that will allow you to have, for example, a 4 bar pattern only play the first 2 bars before looping. That will allow equivalent functionality to playlist edit, where you could set up patterns beyond the playlist length before they are included. A 'rotate bars' function would then allow you to edit a pattern in the way you want - set last bar to bar 2, then rotate your 4 bar pattern so that bars 3 and 4 move to bars 1 and 2. So I guess we're looking at a page 10 in pattern edit mode, to include last bar and rotate. Or a simpler way to do it might be to have a loop bar, where the pattern returns to a bar other than the first, after it reaches the last bar. That would mean that a pattern could have an 'intro' section, say 2 bars, that always plays when the pattern is newly selected, then if loop bar was set at bar 3, the track would loop around bars 3 and 4. Seems like quite a useful idea. Best regards, Colin Fraser Sequentix Music Systems Ltd http://www.sequentix.com
