Analogue-sequencer

Hi

is there any reason why installing the memx board would have affected 
my display? I thought I followed the video exactly, but...

The bottom half of the top top line is gone and the bottom part of 
the bottom line is also missing - it looks weak too

I checked all pins and connections, no loose wires or obvious fault. 
its the same if I put the old ROM chip back in.

maybe I have put something back in the wrong place which would have 
the effect? the connections all look pretty self explanitory
