One more question: I´m at least understanding the multitimbral thing but.. Why when you do a pattern it says store from 1 to 4 only? Why if I want to record it in 5 or 8th? Wasn´t it suposed to be 16 patterns.. I´m turning crazy guys! Thanks Hans ________________________________> To: analogue-sequencer@yahoogroups.com> From: synthmusicstudio@yahoo.co.uk> Date: Fri, 14 Sep 2007 11:57:49 +0100> Subject: Re: [analogue-sequencer] Help editing!>> Hi again Hans.> It's really pretty straightforward but appreciate there might be confusion due to language translation.> In play mode you just make sure the track numbers are active- that means green, for tracks 1 and 2 in your example. If you want to edit either track while it plays- as everything can be done whilst the P3 is still running- you press play/edit button together with the track you want to edit. Now you are inside that pattern of bars and can edit away.> A tip for you here Hans is to use Sculpt function if desired. In pattern edit use Function + Page to access it then hold F1 whilst you move the data knob which will input notes as shown into each step of the pattern as it plays. Easy and great for both non keyboard players and making some crazy patterns...> For midi channels, press Function + Page to access first. Then hold F3 together with the track number you want to assign. In your example track 1 should show midi channel 1 and light up red. If it doesn't and is on any of numbers 2-16, just hold down number 1 with the F3 button pressed and that's it assigned. Simple> As for the manual, i really would suggest you read it as much as possible and maybe better to get a translation (of some of it at least) if possible, as the P3 has so many amazing advanced features compared to standard analogue sequencers that i fear you might miss out!> Also, you can see from above there are many examples of when the P3 requires COMBINED key presses before you can access other parameters and once you get familiar with where all these pages/function are and how to access them, your enjoyment of P3 will increase massively.> Paul's tutorials are very helpful and he's a very experienced user though i'm sure if you persist there will be many users here happy to offer more advanced tips and tricks when you need or want them, ok.> One thing i would say Hans. If you're not into the playlist edit side of P3 yet, i would really recommend you take a look at downloading the V4 update as it's much easier and more flexible to get to grips with multi-bar pattern editing i feel rather than playlists. Though maybe one for when you start your next project or are more familiar with the basics.> Anyway, good luck and there really is so much more fun you're going to discover with the P3 that will make you realise further how unique it is...> Have fun,> Kev.> p.s. what analogue synths do you run?> Hans Greuber> wrote:> Hi folks;> Sorry to ask, but as some of you might know.. I bought P3 ´cause it had two rows of editable knobs and I´m unable to enter even two keys in a row using a real keyboard.. I confess.( no joke) That is why I love so much analogue and step sequencers..( and because acid and techno, of course)> Well, it seems that I have mastered a lot about it even I did tracks ( well, just one pattern all the time) with it in the past.> I have readed the manual several times, and listened to Paul tutorials but due to my poor english.. I hardly can capture a few things..> Here I go;> Let´s say I have pattern 1 ; bass midi channel 1 and pattern 2,channel 2 main sequence. already stored on same bank... and so on... ( still not sure how to change midi channel inside the same bank)> How should I do to get both sounding at same time ( I guess on track edit) ?> I use 3.1.7 and 3 bank configuration> Thanks a lot and keep yours men, I won´t sell mine even for 5000$> Hans> __________________________________________________________> Busca desde cualquier página Web con una protección excepcional.
