Analogue-sequencer

Hi;

I got an serial 7*** minimoog wich came with cv in.. Every time I connected it to an analogue
sequencer sounded very strange.. Now I have turned it on after 3 years off..

And with a kenton pro 4 .. still sounding " strange" as monotriggered envelopes or non tracking filter ( I knew something about that)..

So it is not possible to have a proper sounding sequenced mini?

By the way,to have " slide" Do I have to plug cv into portamento in?

I have listened to mini basslines from the 70´s with cool manual portamento..( Barry White) just figuring how to do that with a sequenced mini.
