Analogue-sequencer

HI

I thought i had survived the curse of the PLED but it looks like no to
that :(
I noticed last week my display was very dull and the digits looked
bright here and there then dull elsewhere. I've been busy so didnt
chase it up but yesterday i turned the P3 on and the display is
totally dark :(
I have a spare pled but i'm wondering if its worth putting in due to
all the problems....especially as i haven't used my P3 a whole lot and
its still died.. Thats not the P3's fault but mine for being ultra
busy this year and not having time to use it alot lately.
I read through some forum posts re the subject but have read of some
issues with slow response etc from some LCD's. Can anyone recommend a
LCD they have used and that they are happy with? Also is there any
need for heatsinks on the power transistors etc due to the increased
current draw of a LCD?
