Re: Where do I start?

Thank you.

I have a photo of the jig used for the step board here
(http://nuxx.net/gallery/v/stuffivemade/sequentix_p3_for_ivan/IMG_1144.jpg.html),
but I just realized that I don't actually have one of the keypad. It's
been a little while since I did it, but if I remember correctly I did
Ivan's keypad using a similar jig, just placing one row, then the
next, then the next.

I think one of the keys (top center) needed a slight bit of adjustment
afterwards, but as the key bodies themselves have a plastic nub
protruding from the bottom and only two leads, it's really easy to
adjust the rotation properly.

For Mark's P3 because there were different keycaps I was actually able
to space them nicely using pieces of cable tie
(http://nuxx.net/gallery/v/stuffivemade/sequentix_p3_for_mark_pulver/IMG_0999.jpg.html),
then the keys were all held in place with a slab of aluminum and taped
down so it could be manipulated for soldering without moving the key
mechs
(http://nuxx.net/gallery/v/stuffivemade/sequentix_p3_for_mark_pulver/IMG_1000.jpg.html).

Basically, I just find a way to put together a jig which holds the
parts as solidly as possible, use that, then adjust any keys which may
be off. Typically none are.
