I spent some time last week doing a bunch of 0.8mm pitch 32 pin LQFP. This was my very first SMD job, and it really wasnt even close to as bad as i was expecting. 3 out of 3 units worked first time (ie 100% sucess on first attempt - 96pins at 0.8mm pitch) 144 pins at 0.5mm pitch would not put me off, however, i do understand that i may be a minority from the current user pool. julian -- I am using the free version of SPAMfighter for private users.
