>>This is one I'm sure you'll have come across too, but as I've recently acquired a Drumstation, I've been doing quite a lot of x0x-type programming of percussion patterns.<< you could, later, consolidate the multiple track data onto one or two tracks set up to record polyphonic data, if track-use became an issue. this assumes that you don't want to do too much more editing, of course... but you could still fool around with switching auxes on & off on individual steps to modify the drum parts while they are playing. also, assuming you follow the "drummers have four limbs" rule of programming (like I do!), you will have an aux left over for masking events..... never one to gloat or anything, but I use my octopus to write the drum parts in grid fashion, then record them into the p3. :-) duncan.
