Fire in my home (my P3 can possibly be saved)

2008-12-16 by Geir

Hi Colin,

This post is mostly for you.

I bought a used P3 in mint condition in about 2-3 months ago, but the
1'st november, I had a fire in my house. I lost five synths,
(possibly) one P3 and three Pc's in that fire. Thanks to the smoke
detectors, my wife and I still lives as this happened while we where
sleeping. If we did not had those (operational) smoke detectors, we
would both be dead by now. Luckily my house and all inside it is
fully insured. The house is condemned and will be rebuilt. I have
already re-bought four of my original synths, except my first one, a
Roland SH-7 analog synth from 1979. That one is replaced by a Moog
Little Phatty.

Hovewer in the room where the P3 was located, it was no open fire,
just rised temperature, smoke and ash. I have my P3 still, but I want
to check if it is possible for me to send it to you, or just the
electronics of it for a test and check and if possible you can mount
that electronics into a new case with new knobs (provided that the
electronics are operational of course). When you have checked my P3's
electronics, we can make an agreement of price etc.

If you can't do this, (lack of new chassies etc.), I am in the market
to buy another used P3.

Best regards from
