The GX voice cards have discrete circuits inside the potted modules.
Each potted circuit has a pretty close functional equivalent in the later IG
custom chips they produced, used in the likes of the CS50.
I'd say there are probably more similarities than there are differences.
Obviously a synth with 36 voice cards is going to sound a little fatter than
one with 4.

Client confidentiality precludes my identifying the lucky bar steward who
owns this one.
There are probably more of them around than you might think though.

That depends on whether you want me to retrofit it to some awesomely cool
piece of gear I'd need to work on for fair a period of time ;-)
