Hello there. I have a P3 with a dead screen. I have a spare, and also a memory board for it. It's still running software version 3.xx. I know that version 4 software is needed to make use of the memory board. I am not confident that I can install either screen or board so I am intending to employ someone to do the screen, which means sending the P3 away. It would seem sensible to send the memory board as well and ask for that to be fitted at the same time. BUT...as the screen doesn't work I can't upgrade the software. Obviously if the P3 came back to me with the new screen I could then upgrade the software. So really the question is this:- while having a memory board fitted whilst running v.3 would mean that the extra memory could not be utilised, could it also cause problems with normal operation which would mean me being unable to upgrade to v.4? Also, would the memory board work properly if I did it that way round or does it HAVE to be done in the "correct" order, i.e. upgrading to version 4 THEN , installing the memory board. My final question is this:- is this still the best place to get Sequentix advice? It seems a little slow, but the facebook group doesn't seem all that busy either! Everyone too busy makg music, probably! Thanks Very much.
