That would be a fairly simple modification to the proposed 'arpeggio
capture' record mode.
Instead of setting the length to 1, all steps could be set skipped, input
notes written to each step and skip turned off as they are played in, and
the pattern length would define how many notes maximum could be in the
arpeggio.
