P3 v3.90 release

P3 v3.90 release

2004-03-07 by colinfraser_com

Folks,

v3.90 is in the files section now.
The user manual is also now up to date - including the section on
aux events and accumulators.

I'm not intending to add any more new stuff for a few weeks now, as
I have some other stuff to do (i.e. get married two weeks on
Saturday).
I'll do any essential bug fixes, but this should be it until I get
back from the Mayan riviera ;-)

Cheers,
Colin f

you're still at the previous release version.

Thanks for all your good wishes guys. I'll be thinking of you when I'm
sipping champagne with my wife in our sea-view jacuzzi.
Not! ;-P

The what ? Didn't see those in the manual ;-)
Must be something experimental...

In future, I'll hide them more thoroughly. ;-)
Anything not in the manual is a 'work in progress' and almost certain to
change.
In the case of 'set tbase', it'll be split into multiple events so you
can avoid unexpected waltzing.
And 'set drctn' will have a variant to avoid the random settings.
Although I have become rather partial to patterns that are half
'forward', then half 'random'.

They're due here on the 15th March, so I may have time to ship some to
Steve T before I get hitched, but I'm not counting any chickens.
I'll be in touch with those who ordered them when they arrive.

hah hah! i imagine a crowd of sweaty, drug-addled rave kids suddenly
stopping and then spinning around on the floor like luminescent
ballerinas... :)

good idea to have both options... the half random thing has to be...
mind-bending...

..GBar and 'change on Gbar or pattern' settings 'll work small
wonders in avoiding too much weirdness too..

i've been doing this with alternating patterns; 1 forward, 1 random...
cute stuff :) nice for breaks & d&b on crack...;)

Sorry Julian, not had a chance.
I'll maybe get a chance to do it tomorrow night.

If you're making up the cables before fitting the boards to a case, you
want to make sure you get them long enough to reach when the boards are
mounted.
