Actually I am. But for clarity in ready-built models, and with my
reviewer's head on, I'd say go for something simpler.

Unlabelled with the numbers on the case then? Backlit Electribe-style
would be perfect... 8)

Honest, I wasn't reading ahead...
I like the feel of the current keys - reminds me of the very solid
feel of the MSQ-700 sequencer.

Whilst looking at the round switches in the rapid catalogue, i noticed that
the same manufacturer also does switches with an led in them.

I didnt read too far, as i suspected there was no facility to fit dual
colour leds to the buttons, and, plus the switch board at present would not
support them, even if you could...

But, thatlld probably be my ideal. I suspect the cost would be a lot more
though, if that mattered.

I dont know if another manufacturer does build switches like these?

That's right. The keytops are in two parts, the main off-white part and a
clear cover that clips over the top. The labels can be printed in any font
or colour you like. I guess we can't all be Space 1999 fans ;-)
For the ready-built P3s, I'm finding it to be quite a dull job cutting out
all the labels and fitting them into the switches, so I'd like to move to a
different switch type that needs less effort.
I'm not too keen on the circular tact switches for the step and keypad
buttons because I prefer the longer travel and lower resistance of the
keyboard type switches, and they should have a longer life expectancy too.
I'm going to look into sourcing some low profile keyswitches with coloured
caps, possibly with the legends printed on them, or maybe I'll move the
labels to the panel and just use plain caps.

Cheers,
