Sure:
- Turn on the P3
– Have at least midi out connected to a synth
– Just to be sure: init the bank
– FUNC+PAGE
– PAGE
– F1
– F1+F2 t confirm initing the bank
– To enter the first pattern of the first track: PLAY/EDIT+ STEP button 
1
– To set notes on press: STEP button 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15
– Push RUN

Voila, your synth should play note C1 8 times in a row :-))

To change the note values turn the note knobs above the step buttons.

To save that pattern: PLAY/EDIT then F1
