Could somebody expalin me how to do that ,please? once again the manual 
is....

Go into pattern edit.
The step mode will be 'GATE' - shown by the LED above the step mode key.
Turn on steps 1, 2, 3 and 4 by pressing step keys 1 to 4.
If you're not already running the pattern, press RUN.
You should hear 4 notes play on the first 4 steps, then silence for the
rest of the pattern until it loops.
Adjust the note knobs for steps 2, 3 and 4, so that each step plays the
same note as step 1.
Press step key mode so the 'TIE' is selected - shown by the LED.
Now press step keys 1, 2 and 3.
Now your 4 notes on steps 1 to 4 should play as one longer note.

If any of the notes are different, TIE will have the effect of
overlapping the notes.
