 Can you fix this please..
It really pisses me off having to wade through junk mail.. Make it so that
membership has to be authorized by the user and yourself.

Fixing it properly would involve shooting every moron in the world who
responds to spam in the face.
I'd prefer to leave membership open, so I've enabled moderation for new
member posts. That should prevent spam but minimise admin effort.
