Cases arrived...

Cases arrived...

2005-03-07 by colinfraser_com

Folks,

My wife got a nice surprise today, when four large, heavy boxes
turned up. Fortunately the nice man from UPS carried them in for
her ;-)

Photos are here:

Those of you paying attention may remember that I was supposed to
have the rear enclosures in black with white lettering.
Those of you not paying attenting should get a job with my case
supplier. Ahem.
They also managed to move the lower PLED mounts outward by 2mm from
the production unit, but fortunately the upper mounts are more than
enough to hold it, and the lower mounting holes could be elongated
for the paranoid. Words will be had.

Man, have I got a lot of soldering to do...

Cheers,
Colin f

And before anyone asks, the 'playlist step' label alongside
the 'part' numbers is for the imminent changes to playlist edit to
(hopefully) make it a bit more straightforward.

I've also succesfully tested a 24 MHz crystal with the new CPU, and
will be adding support for old and new speeds to future builds.
24 MHz will be the standard clock speed for AT89C51ED2 based P3s.
I'll update the BoM shortly.

Cheers,
Colin f
