My P3 arrived!

My P3 arrived!

2005-05-25 by Jim Combs

My new P3 arrived safe and sound from Analogue Haven today, s/n 1012.

I hooked my Electribe ER-1 to my Novation ReMOTE 25 to the P3 to my Roland
SH-32 and have been happily bleeping and blooping along for the past hour
while reading the owners manual and the users guide. Haven¹t a clue yet, but
I can make and alter sound, cruise around the menu structure, and even
troubleshooted when I lost sound after initializing and had to reset my MIDI
channel.

Yeah! Next step is creating something musically useful instead of just weird
and odd (eliminating as much user error as possible;^)

Congrats, Jim - have fun!

I was just thinking; one of the coolest things about the P3 (and any good
hardware sequencer, for that matter), is building a very small set-up around
it, like yours, and then just start having fun.

I have my P3 combined with a Virus C and an Electribe ES-1 loaded with Jomox
drums. Such a wonderful combination!

Nice one Jim. Looking forward to hearing the results! But don't
abandon *all* the accidents: try out some cunning FTS to tame them! We
can share tricks in September.
