Knobular note for kit builders.

2005-06-04 by srmaietta

Hello, Here's a note fot the US kit builders who havent yet bought
knobs. Since most of us are probably going to buy our knobs from
Mouser, and since Mouser only stocks grey/white/blue lined soft-touch
splined knobs, I bought a few of each to see what I like best. I find
blue/white to be alot nicer looking and easier to read than
grey/white. IMHO the greys are a bit too dark, and hard to read in the
dark, while the blues fare much better.

Im still not sure if im going to put blues as the 1st, 5th, 9th, and
13th with the rest white, or just alternate sets of 4. Maybe do every
4th knob blue with the rest white for the top row and flip the colors
for the bottom row? White or blue for data/tempo. . ?

Oh the silly stupid fun games we play!!

Whoops..

Actually, the grey knobs issue is that they are too close to the white
ie: they are too light, there is almost no contrast between the two..
So the blue/white knob combo is better because of their contrast.
