I agree, that it sounds nice to be able to atack the thing like an organ and have it change what its doing on the fly, but you then have to memorize what keys do what depending on what menu you're in. .   I like the concept but it seems like it would take forever to get to the point where you could comfortably attack it on the fly and achieve what you intend to.

Im all for live playability. . .   whats the best way?  knob/fader box?  Dedicated button bank? (ucapps.de)

there are plenty of keys so that a single function can be associated
to a single key key = no multi function keys.  a piece of tape marking
the functions (like one lables a mixer) would suffice to mapping out
the functions onto the keyboard.  This simplfies the operation by
removing the extra keystrokes of backing out of modes and entering new
ones in order to change another function.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
