P3 + Modular MIDI/CV q's

Hello all, As some of you I will (soon) be using my P3 to drive my modular.. One vital link is still necessary, a MIDI/CV. My modular is small, so I plan on it being mono. Suppose I were to DIY one with specs that would make it a particularly good unit for P3-Modular interfacing. What would you include? I was thinking: Note, velocity, gate, trig. The standards for a playable voice. I'd add aftertouch, and pitchbend of course, plus modwheel. This gives me alot of CC versatility. Footswitch gives me another gate type signal which will be fun. Now panel space starts to become an issue. . would you add another CC conversion or two, or would you rather have a couple of divided MIDI clock signals? Maybe MIDI start/stop (hi/low) and a divided (analog) clock? Howabout some way of making tied notes output a high signal or glide? How is this done?? just throwing it out there for to see what all of yall would think to do in this here situation of mine : ) thanks for any and all comments. ~Steve
