If you got the same PLED module I did, then there's not a lot needs done.
Pins 1 to 14 on the LCD module are exactly the same as pins 1 to 14 on the
PLED module. The PLED has no need for pins 15 and 16, as it has no
backlight. The contrast control for the LCD becomes the brightness control
for the PLED, and only needs adjusting so you can see it.
I also have a theory that the extra de-coupling I needed to use may have
resulted from my breaking the PTH connections between the module PCB layers
when I enlarged the holes. Tonight, I'm going to remove the de-coupling, and
add jumper wires to ensure the top and bottom pads around the mounting holes
are connected directly, as they were before I drilled out the plating to get
my M3 screws in.
I'll report back if this helps.
If not, then you'll just need to add the RC filter in the +5v line I added.
I'll take a photo of the installation either way, and post it somewhere
later.
