real time record problem

real time record problem

2005-10-15 by honocl

Hi there,

I've just bought a second hand P3.
I try to record a tracks using real time record but it seems that the p3
"resamples" itself. In other words when i toggle the rec button it
records all incoming datas from the others tracks.
could you tell me what's wrong. Is it a connection problem or a bug?
thanks for your help

Sounds like maybe you have the MIDI output connected back to the input
externally ?
How have you got your MIDI setup wired ?

Up until the most recent release version, P3s realtime record input was in
omni mode.
If the output was passing thru some other device back to the input, you'd
get the notes from all tracks recorded as you describe.
In the current beta, you can select a specific record channel, but you could
still have trouble with an external loop.
What version of the firmware are you running ?
