Hey, did Paul ever get the famous user guide video done? :)

> Hey, did Paul ever get the famous user guide video done? :)

We had a great weekend a few months back at Paul's making some videos.
There were, however, some production problems.
My own crappy old camcorder turned out to be unable to resolve the
difference between the colours of the LEDs, but Phil came to the rescue with
his.
It looked like it was going fine on the little internal screen, but when I
looked at some of the footage on a bigger screen, it was almost impossible
to read the front panel and key text.
I've used this as an excuse to buy myself a new camera with a 'true
widescreen' mode, which has a much clearer picture, so I'm still planning to
re-do some tutorials.
I will see what I can salvage from the session at Paul's - Phil did some
good little sections which may be useable accompanied by a clearer image of
the front panel. Some of it has excellent comedy value, but I don't know if
it could be released in public, what with the incrimintating sound
effects...

But will all that fit in one little booth? What with the Zeit and the M5
there can't be much room for anything else :-)

There may be some of my stuff [EAR Group] there too, which is nice...

Me too .. :)

Aye, I realise Colin is seeking perfection (as he always does) but text
clarity and LED colour don't have to be perfect to get at lot of the
stuff across - especially if you already have a P3 and are familiar with
what the text says.

Maybe a limited distribution would attain cult status ... as well as
provoking a few lawsuits...:)

And maybe you could include a little "inspiration" packet with the
video to put us in the right mood;^)

Anyone got a light?

I've got all the footage onto my new PC now, so I'll see what I can edit
together.
I'm still recovering from a very bad cold at the moment, and the small
amount I watched while it was transferring from DV to PC left me hoarse and
breathless from laughing, so it may take a while yet...
And I'm not sure how much of the humour was of the 'you had to be there'
kind ;-)
