production P3 front panel

production P3 front panel

Colin,

Just wondering - since I am using my P3 in a BLUE environment (a Wiard
300 Series Modular system blue environment, that is), I was wondering
if you had created the production faceplates as a .fpd file, so that
maybe I could consider having a blue faceplate made for the P3?

gary- colin did this for both of mine. he sent me a schaeffer file
(fpd?) & I tweaked it a bit. the result can be seen in the photos
section of this very list- both of my p3's look like this, but one has
RGB leds just for a laugh.

Duncan,

Do you know if it is one of the .fpd files found in the files folder
of this group?

No, the outline and mounting holes for the production case are slightly
different.
I'll post an updated file soon.
One interesting new option is that Schaeffer will do a panel in plexiglass.
Could be interesting to leave the LEDs and PLED display behind the panel,
and see the rest of the working, Phil Smillie-style.

Colin,

When you post this, please also post the connector panel layout, too!

Thanks, Colin....

plexiglass? I feel a plasticizing orgy coming on... whoo-hoo!
I will have to visit their site again, see what the options are
(thickness, colour & so forth) but I can think of at least two devices
here besides the two p3s that might benefit from a little internal
daylight... schaeffer just get better & better.

this may well solve something I've been putting off for a rainy day...
the rehousing of my n*tr*n.... it would look like orac by the time I
got finished.
you do all know who orac is, right? ;-)
