Page select problem

Page select problem

2006-04-14 by wep563

Hello, I just received a new P3 from AnalogueHaven yesterday. Mine did
not come with a users manual so I downloaded the online manual. My
machine has the latest OS and from what I can see, the online manual
is also the latest.
OK, so here is my problem. I'm trying to access page 5 in play mode so
that I can set the midi channel to something other than 1. The manual
says that in play mode, I should press the page key and select the
page that I need from the track/pattern buttons. When I do this, the
track/pattern buttons will only mute and unmute tracks and do
absolutely nothing far as bringing up another page. Multiple presses
of the page key alone toggles between the first 3 pages only.
Can someone tell me how to get to pages 4,5,6?? Thanks

Thanks for clearing that up for me, Dave. Seems that the manual has
some bad info on that subject. This seems like a really great board.
And the machine is fantastic. Thanks again, Will -

To set the Midi Channel, when you first start the P3 up it's in "Play
Mode" then hit "Func" + "Page"
and you'll see the 4, 5, & 6 pages can be accessed. The first page or
page 4, will have Midi Channel under
F3. Hit F3 and the track that you want to use, and then it will display
the Midi Channel on the Track/Pattern
LED.
Select the Midi Channel using the Track/Pattern buttons.

Hope that helps,

Dave

You need to keep Page down while selecting the page. If that doesn't
work, then you probably don't have the latest version of the operating
system. That mode to select a menu page has only been introduced rather
recently.

The last Analogue Haven machines had a stable beta version of the current
OS.
The PAGE+<step key> shortcut to the play mode pages was added after they
shipped out.
It's proved to be a more logical way to work, so it's in the manual as the
default method, though the old method still gets a mention.
