Hello, does anybody work with Ableton Live 5? I'm trying to connect this and my P3 and the P3 almost literally exploits, even I had to reinstall the firmware. I think that A. Live is sending killer sysex to the midi out. Anybody experienced this? Regards. Miguel. [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

I have one other user who experienced crashes on P3 when he synced it to Logic using a specific MIDI interface. The problem didn't occur on exactly the same system with a different MIDI interface. It could be there is a tiny window in the MIDI clock handling where the wrong byte arriving at exactly the wrong time causes a crash. Unfortunately it's very hard to find that kind of problem without being able to re-create it. Do you get a consistent crash when you start Live running ? If so, I'd really like to get hold of a time-stamped capture of the MIDI data that is sent. Best regards, Colin Fraser Sequentix Music Systems Ltd http://www.sequentix.com

Thanks for your answer Colin, on my side it works fine with Logic. The midi interface is Emagic MT8. The problem is that this behaviour is experienced on a Mac, on my PC I could take a capture with Midi OX, do you know of any application that could capture the midi data in a Mac?

Anybody experienced this? Live might be sending out track & remote midi information, which might confuse the P3. Check in Live's midi preferences and make sure all it's sending to the P3's midi port is sync information. I've had the P3 working with Live just fine. In fact, I think the P3 might be very interesting with Live if you use it to trigger clips and automate effects instead of just firing off notes. -- miles

> does anybody work with Ableton Live 5? I do and have no issues with it whatsoever. In fact I would say that they are truly a prefect combination. But my version runs on a PC with a midisport 4x4 interface. Have you tried using the new Live 6 beta at all? Does that help? Tony www.oakleysound.com
