'disarmed' track mode

'disarmed' track mode

2006-11-02 by eigentone2000

Dear Colin,

Added 'armed' track mode - hold STEP MODE then press TRACK key; track
will reset (playlist and pattern) and unmute on next gbar reset.

That's great, thank you for the excellent support.

Would it be a big thing for you to add:

Added 'disarmed' track mode - hold STEP MODE then press TRACK key;
track will mute on next gbar reset.

Think about it.

Cheers,

Mario P.

Might be handy in some situations, but it'd have to be a different
key-combo though. Personally I trust my own sense of timing enough to
be confident that I can hit a button at the end of a GBar..
One thing that I'd really like is for the "Play/Edit"-key to also be
sticky in playlist mode if you've opted for sticky keys in the user
config..
Think about that too, if ya please...

Indeed - I quite often use arming of anm active track just to reset the
playlist on the fly.

IIRC there a couple of places where stickiness of keys should be added for
consistency, that being one of them.
I'll put it on my "things to finish off" list ;-)

Hi Colin,
I was wondering if you had ever revisited the "disarmed" trackmode?

I love the ARM feature and feel it would be useful to be able to
disarm, as sometimes it's would be nice to to enable the disarming of
several tracks and then jump over to another synth or drum machine
to manually do something while the P3' switches the mute's for me.
Not anything necessary (i'd rather have remote control of Banks and
Parts via Bank Select for Banks and Midi CC Program Change for Parts.
before disarming first) but I would like to see disarming.

Maybe use something like this in the UI where

Step Mode + Keys 1 - 8 are for Arming Still, but also
make it so that if you hit Step Mode + 9 - 16 (which also have a
corresponding 1 - 8 above them because of Playlist/Part mode) to mute
the track. That way you can Arm and Disarm at the same time
in the same interface.

Thanks!
Dave
