hello - a couple of newbie-P3-owner Qs

hi

i just got a p3 (loving it so far) and this is my first post

Q1:

i'm staying somewhere without a lot of my gear with me right now, and
i don't have access to anything that outputs midi clock... i'm going
to want to sync the p3 to my computer sequencing setup...

reading the p3 manual, i can't find anything about how to set the p3
to receive midi clock --- i assume it will just sync if midi clock is
recieved?

Q2:

secondly, one of my favorite things about the Doepfer MAQ is the
ability to transpose sequences with a midi keyboard.

to do this on the P3, do i just choose that "Enable p3 RemCon RX" in
the User Config section? and then i can transpose parts individually
by just playing the Midi-kybrd on the appropriate Midi-channel?

thx,

It's a bit of an omission from the manual, but P3 response to incoming MIDI
sync is automatic.
If it isn't already playing, it will respond to an incoming MIDI clock START
by starting in sync with the MIDI tempo.
If it's already running, it will ignore MIDI START, though it will stop if
it receives a MIDI STOP.
