P3 for drums?

P3 for drums?

is anyone using the P3 to sequence a drum module? how do you have it
setup? do you use different auxes to control each hit? is there any
trick to mute individual auxes if you do things this way?

All the time - usually the ethnic percussion and general kits of the
Proteus 2000. I use accumulator mask events quite a lot, masking such
things as randomising velocity, repeats, also randomising gate mask and
set note for alternative auxes. As many as I can mixed together work
well, with copies of the bars made and then alternative settings,
sometimes different auxes entirely although that tends to confuse me :)

I only enable the auxes when I need them, there's no direct way to mask
their action other than by enabling/disabling steps. Would be nice
though. I tend to work from the bottom downwards, only turning on the
randomisation and masking when I like the event that's gonna be controlled.

Cheers,
