Analogue-sequencer

Hi List;

I´m back to my gear... I have connected the P3 to an Oberheim SEM ..

Question is; In some midi synths tie= 303 slide...  I wanted to program it but tied step 
triggers a new note...

How Can I do?

and another suggestion is " real stupid " user scales to transpose your pattern to " who 
know what"  303 random style... or whatever..

I've asked this before. The simple answer is you can't , unless :

- you program the "portamento On/Off" MIDI CC on an Aux Event and 
activate it on or off for selected steps. of course your synth has to 
understand Midi CCs (I doubt a SEM will though)

- or, the other option is that your synth has a legato mode for 
portamento (i.e. notes glide when they are played tied , and they do 
not glide when played untied). most modern MIDI synths have this (my 
Ion has it) and the Kenton Pro Solo mk2 has it too. but for instance my 
M3X does not have this. So I need to use the CC trick above to program 
glides... shame. 

To continue our past discussion, this is typically an area where a 
analogue sequencer will be better than the P3. An analogue sequencer 
will just transmit variable voltage control between two steps so that 
it makes the notes glide...

I remember now that Colin said that he would implement an option for 
automatic switching of Portamento MIDI CC (on and off) for each tied 
steps as an user option.

Hi I checked it.

I used to just press legato on nthe nordrack2 and get that...  I have just remembered it..

So for the other synths ( analogues) I´ll have to find the portamento  CC for that , and program yes on the Kenton pro four for that effect?

Sorry  I´ve been a couple of years out of my studio.. even my 808 doesn´t work..
