DIY Stepsequencer MAQ 16/3 from Doepfer

DIY Stepsequencer MAQ 16/3 from Doepfer

2008-02-29 by compuzik

Hello!

Sorry this is not a P3 but hopefuly although interesting!

After a long period of building, now my selfbuild MAQ is ready. The
plans and schematics are published in the german electronic magazine
elector and later in a own book. In the building process I fight with
many problems like a failure on the poweron reset, wrong routing on
the pcb and later with a unvisible, broken socket of the
microcontoller.
But now, everthing is fine working and I am happy to step the tunes .
If you want some impressions visit my homepage www.compuzik.de and
click on the left side on the MAQ display. Unfortunatly the hompage
is in german but enjoy the pics.

And the sequencer also works fine with my novation nova.

cheers, Achim......

The finished product looks very nice.

You must've really wanted a sequencer bad to go through all of that work.
Wish there were something(P4P4P4) for sale that looked as nice.

Thanks for sharing,
ehdyn

Achim-
I read your post & looked at your website with considerable interest,
& I have a little offer for you... :-)

I have three maq 16/3 units, & I have upgraded at least two of them to
the later versions (the third was a late production unit & so didn't
need this work).
I have here, therefore, the complete basic board (only with the
processor missing, because it had to be migrated into the new board)
from my 1993 original machine, & quite possibly another one aswell,
which I haven't found in my pile of parts yet.

if you send me your address, you can have this basic board as a spare
or to build another DIY maq if you want. let me know. no cost!
(this one has the v2.02 rom & the 10k pot is a new one because we wore
out the original!)
