DIY memory board

DIY memory board

2008-03-31 by syntaxdevelopment

Hi there,

Is there a possibility to make a DIY memory board? Are there any
schematics/PCB example available?

Will this memory expansion work with all version PCB's v1.4-v1.6?

Regards,
-Frank

I still intend to get one more run of memory boards made.
Just haven't found the time yet to arrange pre-orders.
This month, for sure.
Once those are gone, I'll make the details available for DIYers, though it's
a tight squeeze, and a home-made board could be tricky to fit physically.

It will work with any P3 revision.
Production P3s used a low-profile cap for C3, which sits under the MemX
board.
DIY boards, and the occasional production unit, may have a larger 10uF cap
there, that will need to be removed.
Other than that, I haven't heard of any installation issues.
