Prices are very hard to compare.  Parts change a lot, especially since RoHS went into effect.  Don't be afraid to compare prices at different suppliers.  For example, the ADC0804 (NTE cross reference) is now twelve dollars at Mouser!  (But Digikey has the ADC0804 for about three dollars...)

Creamware Prodyssey (through my new Metasonix filter pedal), Monowave, 
Bass Station, SH-101 with percussion etc. from an Emu Proteus 2500.
