New sequencer versions

2008-06-28 by fhserge@grouply.com

As mentioned in a private email to Colin a few weeks ago I strongly suggest 2 versions of the the new sequencer because the requirements/wishes of us users are soooo different.

A lot of people (like me) want many knobs, a lot of cv/gate functionality etc and are willing to pay for that!

But there are also others who obviously have different needs like portability and do not want to spend too much money...

My 2 cents..

If I dare ask the question to the forum : do we have a gestimation of
price at launch (just an idea as for example more near 1500 $ or near
2500 $ ...)
maybe it's too early for Colin to estimate the cost...
All the best,

If you mean the ringtone spam, it got deleted from the archive and the user
bumped off the list.

Way too early to say.
I'm designing the CPU board to support a lot of UI, but it will just as
easily fit behind a more minimal UI.
Clearly that makes it possible to have both an expensive model with lots of
knobs, and a more affordable unit.
I also have a non-sequencer project on the go that needs plenty processing
power and lots of CV outputs, so I want to make it flexible enough to solve
that problem too.
