Cirklon wishlist

Cirklon wishlist

2008-08-29 by jason/solvent/suction

hi,

sorry i am coming in with these suggestions so late..... i love my P3
but i can honestly say that it doesn't get used half as much as it
would if it had dedicated CV/Gate ports, so needless to say, i am
really looking forward to the Cirklon

if any of these 4 features were missing, i would be really
disappointed (probably even deal-breakers).... they might seem
obvious, but neither of the previous "new school" analog sequencers
i've used (Doep MAQ16 / Frostwave Fat Controller) have had all of
these features:

(1) at least 1 CV channel configurable for Hz/Volt

(2) at least 1 Gate channel configurable for S-Trig

(3) configurable v-level for gate/trigs, like on Kenton m2cv
convertors (the Frostwave was fixed @ 5v, which meant i couldn't use
it on about half of my synths, which required 15v gates)

(4) glide control.... since we'll no longer be using Midi CCs when
using the integrated CV/Gate outs, and since ties will only work for
glide on synths with Auto-Glide control, a dedicated knob for glide
(a la Korg SQ-10, Fat Controller) is needed..... even better, if
possible, the ability to use a row of knobs for glide-amount per step!

also, not essential, but i would be very happy, and willing to pay
approx $300 more, if the Cirklon has a 3rd row of knobs.... 3 x 16!

thx,

jason

Hi

I agree with this user, a third row of buttons +300 euros plus a high price for it would be ideal to keep out soft synths and rookies far away from this machine!

I concur.
Being more expensive than expensive will automatically make it better.
If no ones able to afford it everyone will want one and no one will have
one.
