CC control ?

CC control ?

2008-10-28 by Jack Nabbits

Hi, I am still using OS: 3.1.7 can anyone tell me how to get the
channel and pan cc's sent when in play mode? I haven't tried this very
many times not really needing the feature, but when I have it dosen't
seem to work. Also can the knobs be set up to send any cc number as
messages to outboard kit?

It's a user config option, look for the word "mixer" and try it then.

Yes but as of now you have to program this into a pattern on each track
using aux events.

I have updated the OS to v4 and have enable mixer set to on in the
user config but I can't seem to get the midi vol/pan messages sent
out. I can see that there is no additional midi info being tx'd from
the p3, whereas note data is being sent, this is from watching a
monitor enabled midi track in nuendo. I'd like to clarify this so I
don't start getting into a mess.

Thanks.

The mixer controls are the ones above the part buttons, not directly
above the tracks. Might that be it?

Thanks Paul,
that was indeed the solution. A bit foolish of me not to have
noticed it printed clearly in the manual having looked it over several
times. Just goes to show what comes from being over hasty.

I wish there was a user option for global CC settings for all the
knobbage. I don't use pan much. can't remap CC11 in all my target
devices..... also, I would prefer the volumes to be above the track
buttons, not the part buttons. anyone else?

paul, what's going on with y'r website? & have you joined the 8-arms
brigade? or is that a fake "softroom" in the tentacluar forum? :-)

duncan.

transpositions

2008-10-29 by Zahir Manek

is there a way in v4 to do transpositions per track using the knobs above the particular track? or do you have to do it in edit mode for each track or globally for all tracks using the XPS setting?

i thought you could do this in V3 but i forget how.

I think you can do it via external MIDI control but can't remember for sure. I don't use much external control. :)

You could program some aux eventy knob stuff to do it but that would be needed on every track where you needed it. Mostly I do this at bar level as you've alluded to above - i.e. do transposes (and repeats) using the knobs above each bar. I find that pretty fast but I guess it'd be a drag if you did lots of 16 bar patterns.
