post memx installation - dark P3.....

oh boy.... I installed the memx board this weekend and the first time that I turned it on, the P3 booted and all was well.  Then, about 10 minutes later, I smelled that deadly telltale odor of burning components... The wall wart had melted!!!

Since then, the P3 does not respond to power - I truly am hoping that I blew the voltage regulator or something as generic....


Any thoughts?

Gary,

Is it possible you installed the MemX board the wrong way round ?
Or re-connected some of the cables to the wrong sockets ?
I take it you tried it with a different wall wart ?

Don't panic, anyway.
There's nothing in there that cant be repaired...
