P3 diykit 009 freezes at power on

P3 diykit 009 freezes at power on

2009-12-28 by Roel

Hi,

My P3 doesn't start up anymore. Two days ago I wanted to play with my friends, I had spend 2 days building my machines and P3 in a flightcase, everything matched perfect, but when I powered the flightcase on my P3 frozes at start up. The flightcase came from my car and was cold, and it was warm and dampy inside so maybe I was to quick putting power to the machines.
The P3 hang emedietly, showing 8 burning little leds, 4 for the upper row functions, and 4 for the lower row. The LCD upper row shows all burning squares, and the lower row shows nothing. In the meantime I tried the F1-7 reset function and the reseruction procedure but nothing seems to have any effect. Anyone any idea???

I'm afraid my CPU is dead. I still have a second diy kit here, and I tried that CPU and every seems to work fine again.
When I tried the reseruction procedure nothing seems to happen, so I hope I can still buy a new CPU.
